Treating myself

So what did you do with your day? I made some more of these blocks. I'm just taking it slow, no hurries.

After a bunch of paperwork, which you know, these days doesn't even involve paper but you get what I mean, I treated myself to watching my recorded Masterpiece Mystery, Case Studies. Laurie mentioned it on her blog, and of course I had to tune it. TV while doing nothing else is such a decadent treat during the day! I felt a bit spoiled.

What did you do with your day?

Those blocks are really pretty. I love the blue fabric.
Yesterday I worked on a Halloween wall hanging.

Hoped you liked the show! I did. I did discover a little trick. The Scottish brogues were a bit tough to follow on that show..... I turned on the closed caption service on our tv and even though I recorded it without sub titles - when I re-watch it - it will have sub titles. MUCH easier to figure out those Scottish accents. Your quilts blocks are adorable.

Well, we shared the paperwork part in common... wish I had treated myself to some relaxed and slow-no-hurries sewing. Technically I am taking it "slow-no-hurries" because the last time I worked on a quilt top was a year ago. I need to whip out my WIPs!

Well, besides loading/starting the dishwasher and cleaning up the kitchen, two loads of laundry, and picking up the drycleaning, I did manage to cut out all the fabric needed for a new quilt. Yeah me!
