Chaos Theory

How was your weekend sweet bloggy peeps? It was some kind of amazing weather here, sunshine and blue skies, happy days. Bret and I managed to have some fun and get some stuff done. I can't believe he could mow the lawn at 7pm and it would still be light out! I love this time of year..
I out grew my small auxiliary bookshelf, so we took a trip to IKEA on Saturday to buy something a little bigger. Of course that meant some reorg people, and man, that's rough. My room is quite small and it's not unlike playing one of those tile games. I think you can imagine the frustration.
This is how I'd like you to imagine my studio, crammed with delightful vignettes.
More realistic.
Fantasy. Yum.

You'll have to imagine the rest. Think something that's maybe a cross between Monica's shelf-o-joy and an episode of Hoarders.

Anyway, it was great. Lots of outings, lots of hanging out, laughing, good times. Hope you had a good weekend too! Let's all have a good week everybody! xo

Definitely more "delightful vignettes" than Hoarders.

word verification is "belogin". Is that Gaelic for blogging?

Now Monica's shelf is to envy but I do love your Cherry vignette with the awesome thread rack in the background. Viewing an episode of Hoarders is WHY I major cleaned my room. I so understand the tile game theory. It feels like all I do is shift things around. Now please, do not fall!! :D

I just redid my room and I have to admit I love it...but then I have left out several pieces of furniture and a large amount of stuff. Now I have to redo the garage cupboards since its not coming back in...no way..no really!

There must be a special classification for hoarders who artfully arrange? I want to join that club and will be a proud card carrying member lol...

Yes, the shelf o' joy is a sight to behold. As soon as I saw it I had major envy. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get one into my work/play space.

A trip to Ikea is always a good first step to sewing room organization! Your artful vignettes made me giggle. I do the same thing but quickly, reality intrudes. :-)

I need an accordion room where I can extend things. My room is full to the hilt. I wish my sewing room was bigger but I love where it is in my home. So maybe I should stop buying fabric? I'm sure your space is lovely.

Have got to see if there is an IKEA by me in Ohio...have heard good things! Yes, my little sewing space can look like an episode of Hoarders sometimes also!! LOL
You have a great week also.

Pam...you make me smile.then laugh.
describing your sewing room is exactly how I describe mine.
I have cutie vintage things but they are all stashed on top of, underneath, and inbetween fabric, drawings, mail, patterns, tools etc...you get the picture.
I have little vignettes that are picture worthy but i would have to move everything surrounding them first...:)
oh well...they say creative minds are rarely tidy so we will just continue to create and tidy up inbetween!

Now I am worried..I just read that you finished your last quilt market. I haven't started my first one for market yet. Do you think that is a problem??

Oh dear...yep, my happy vignettes are hidden and crushed in and around tools and fabric and desperately important implements and stuff. I already have one of those wall-wide Ikea cubicle shelves....argh. I hope your re-org ends happily.

Glad to hear it was a good weekend in Pam Kitty-land!

Love the vignettes even in fantasy! Remember my Creative Space is now en suite. We make do and lust at whatever anyone else has. So it goes.

Love the vignettes! I have often thought I might be a hoarder, I blame it on my daughter and tell my hubby its Shelby's. It makes me think I don't have a problem that way! glad you had a great weekend!

"Monica's shelf-o-joy and an episode of Hoarders" - hahaha... could it be I've never shown you my closet and what's underneath my work table? Next time you come over, we'll armor you up and you can open my closet door.

I love, love, love your little vignettes... all of the them!

We are not so naive as to believe that creativity can survive in sterility. Where would all of your cute creations come from if you did not have an abundance of supplies spilling all over?
